In order to prepare for UPSC exam, Focus on building the basics first by reading the NCERT books. Once you have gone through the NCERT books then prepare the notes for ready revision and you can move on to the advance level books.Spend some time analysing the UPSC exam question papers of previous years to understand questions from which topic feature regularly in the papers. Devote more time in consolidating those topics rather than studying everything in detail.
