How to start preparatibg for ssc tier- 1.? What are the books to with?

Hii anshul,

First start preparing for prelims. Prelims is easy but the cutoff usually goes very high. You need to be very quick and accurate.

SSC tier- 1, comprises of 4 sections and all the questions are MCQ type.

For English,
1. Verbal ability and          comprehension ( Arun Sharma)

2. Plinth to paramount

3. Previous years question papers.


For quantitative aptitude,

1. Quantitative aptitude for     competitive exam ( RS Agarwal).

2.  Quantitative apptitude for CAT ( Arun Sharma).

3.  Class 10 th, 11 th, 12th basic books.

4. Prev year questions.


For General Awareness,

1.  The hindu

2. Times of India

3. Lucent's

4. Yojana


For reasoning,

1. Verbal and nonverbal reasoning (RS AGarwal).

2. Logical reasoning for CAT ( Arun sharma).


These books would be enough to build a good idea of solving and  to develop  basics concepts.

In addition to this, solve previous years question s and try to give as much mock tests as possible.
