How to total marks ntpc result
In RRB NTPC, the marks shown in the result should not always be interpreted simply as the number of questions answered correctly. The examination follows the prescribed marking scheme, including negative marking for incorrect answers.
For a CBT paper with 100 questions, for example:
Raw score = Correct answers × marks per correct answer − Incorrect answers × negative-marking value
The actual score used for selection may also involve normalisation, wherever applicable, because candidates can appear in different shifts with varying difficulty levels.
Therefore, candidates should check the scorecard and official result notice rather than calculating their final merit score only from the number of correct answers.
