Hello Mrinal,
As compared to JEE Main, Assam CEE is easier. But having said that the state-level exam is very competitive. A reason for that being the limited number of seats that are on offer. So, you need to score heavily to get a branch of your choice, including ME. If you belong to a reserved category, the things may get a little easier. But my suggestion is work hard if you want to get into your chosen branch, and don't think about which category you belong to too much.
