how was the story of shakunthala narrated in the mahabharata? who was the central figure in the narrative?
Hello student
Story of Shakuntala was narrated in Mahabharata and drama by Kalidasa in his Abhigyan Shakuntalam(Recognisation of Shakuntala). Written in 5th century CE. Rishi Kanva found her in forest surrounded by the birds Shakunta.
The protagonist who is the key point of the in a narrative, affect the plot and propelling the story forward, and the character who faces the most of obstacles in a story or narrative. There in Mahabharata has its own main character as Central figure. In this story Sakuntala narrated in Mahabharat has faced the most obstacles in whole of the plot of the story so it may be said that Shakuntala is a central figure of the story narrated in Mahabharat.
Hope this helps.
