Dear Akshay, Dermatology is one of the most in demand professions owing to the never before conscious world that we live in. Dermatologists usually work in Clinics. On an average, a Dermatologist earns 6 lakhs per annum. However, the earnings increase as you build experience and reputation. They are well compebsated for he kind of work they do. Because the dermatology treatments are most times based on appointments, there is no fast paced life. You can work at your convenience. Given the fact that dermatologists work from clinics, there is a heavy competition in this profession. Dermatologists can also work as Dermatology Professors, Skin Specialist, Medical Representative, Product Manager, Dermatology Consultant. And coming to Public Sectors like Government hospitals, there are Inpatient and Outpatient Wards in almost every Govt. Medical Hospital and you can apply for posts whenever there is a notification released.

Earning and comparatively free life among speciality courses MD derm would come first..be it in a institute or private clinic OP s would be relatively smooth ..as far as i know no emergencies ample time gain to study the case in depth ..earning part people who come for a derm opinion are already mentally prepared to pay ..or if u are in a institute starting as asst or SR will be min (the least )60k/month..and most imp holidays are always in ur hands no strict timings for follow up as in antenatal or neuro or paediatric cases..
all the best
