Hello,
Like the name hydro suggest water and generator suggest electricity formation.
So, Flow of water is converted into mechanical energy with the help of turbine and this mechanical energy is later on converted into Electricity with help of generator. This system is known as Hydro Generator and it generally made to complete 500 rotation per minute to produce electricity .
So, Hydro Generator generally employed to run at 500 rpm.
