A college going student can definitely manage to prepare for gate and 3rd year is the best time for doing so. Generally Colleges have timings as 10 AM to 4 PM or in general a 6 hours college. And you will spend 1 hour for transportation.
You can set a good time - table to prepare for GATE.
1. Wake up at 4 AM in the morning.
2. Make a list of important subjects such as
Networks, Signals and Systems, Engineering Maths, Electronic Devices, Analog and Digital Circuits, Signals and Systems, Control systems, communications , Electromagnetics. that are having highest weightage in the exam.
3. Prepare each and every subject one by one and do everyday revision in your college free lectures.
If you are doing GATE preparation and you are also having job trainings, you cannot give more than 2 hours to it.
4. Try to give more hours for preparation on Weekends and holidays.
