The eligibility criteria for JEE Mains says that you are eligible to take the exam if you have passed in the qualifying exam in 2017 or 2018 or appearing in 2019. The maximum number if attempts in 3. Considering this you will be eligible if you passed the qualifying exam in 2017 or 2018.
Qualifying exam here means 12th or equal exam.
