I am a Class 11 student and my 11th did not go well. My syllabus is incomplete, I have not given any mock tests, and I have only about 2 months left before Class 12 starts. In my JEE coaching, teachers kept changing, and at times NEET teachers were assigned to teach us. Many module questions were not solved, and the syllabus was incomplete even before mock tests. JEE Advanced-level questions were mostly avoided, saying most students were preparing only for JEE Main. Because of this, my basics and problem-solving skills are weak. In this situation, should I repeat Class 11th or continue to Class 12th, and if repeating is advised, how should I repeat Class 11th under the Rajasthan State Board (RBSE) in the right way?

Hi, it is advisable to not repeat Class 11 immediately. Most students can rebuild their basics alongside Class 12 with disciplined planning. Use the next 2 months to strengthen core 11th topics (Algebra, Trigonometry, NLM, Mole Concept) and continue revising them during 12th. Repeating is only advisable if your fundamentals are extremely weak and you are targeting top IITs with full commitment. Otherwise, complete Class 12 properly and, if needed, consider a focused drop year after 12 instead of repeating 11 now.
