See if you have EWS certificate then definitely you can get EWS reservation benefits and you should apply under EWS quota for CAT 2022, but if you don't have EWS certificate then get it issued and then you can apply for CAT 2022 as the application has still not rolled out so by the time when application form will get released get your EWS certificate and then you will be good to go for EWS reservation benefits for CAT 2022.
When it will get released you can check out the steps given below for very simplified application process :-
Step 1 : Visit the official site which would be iimcat.ac.in
Step 2 : Now fill-up the details and Generate CAT login ID and Password.
Step 3 : Re-login and Fill CAT 2022 Application form
Step 4 : Now upload all the scanned documents enlisted below.
Step 5 : Pay the CAT 2022 registration fee.
Step 6 : Submit the completed CAT 2022 Registration form.
Step 7 :Download the CAT 2022 Application confirmation page for future references.

Being EWS, by opting ews category while filling CAT application form, you can get the benefit of 10% reservation for EWS while getting admission in IIMs etc, so if you want to avail reservation then you must choose ews as your category
But,
If you don't want to avail reservation then you can choose your category as general .

To be eligible for CAT ,

you need a Bachelor's/graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

you must have got at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA in your graduation . SC/ST/PH students need only at least 45 percentage in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline to be eligible .

Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible for CAT examination.
