I am a student of B.Tech of 2021 batch, what can our batch do to cheer up to hope that everything will be back to normal during the placement season?
2020 and 2021 are two different realities. What you might think as normal in 2020 may not be normal in 2021. Also, there might be cuts in salaries. Organisations are gearing up again to start a business. I would assume, we can expect a normal situation after three years from now. From now on till next three years, you have to look at preparedness for what might be different. These are the things that you need to understand from the market forces, constantly read mainstream newspapers that are talking about what is happening with the market. Listen to people who are in the thick of these businesses, what are they saying about market realities. So, I would suggest that instead of looking at 2021 and saying it will be just an extension of 2020 is to make a serious mistake of imposing the future. I think you should look to 2021 in the frame of your own skills and capabilities, what kind of depth you can bring to your current portfolio of skills. No, it's not a matter of more skills adding but the same skills getting deeper. The future is not a target sitting there for you to hit. Future is what you create and future is what you create through your own diligence.

well we cannot predict about the present situation right now that we are facing right now.so try to do internships from home and be build up your knowledge regarding the subjects and try to learn few new courses related to your stream.

Yeah, due to the present situation there might be some decrement in placement. But don't loose hope. If you are from IT background then try for off campus. Do some online internships and training to strengthen your knowledge. Do remember knowledge is very important in the respective fields of study. Try to do as many online courses which is of your interest. Utilise this time and you will shine bright in the future.

see right now there is nothing can be said for possibility, even it may occur that the placement will be as usual and no harm will be done for freshers career, however I suggest you to make your academic and professional courses learning strong, because if you want to cope up in a large ocean of job seekers , you need to be really excellent in your professional skill. hope you may understand.
