You are on the right path brother, take cs from any average college you are getting. Its a branch full of logics but given that you are going to pursue it from a not so good college, you will somehow pass the exams. Now dealing with the placements , you should atleast develop good commmunication skills as these are required by the mass recruiters which do not pay so much but atleast it would be sufficient for your livelihood. In mass recruiting companies like tcs , there is not so much use of engineering skills at the bottom level,so if you are lacking in these, then you would be assigned some promotional tasks , or they may shift you to their bpo department, in short they would assign you some clerical work for your btech degree ,not the work which an engineer in true sense does. BUT REMEMBER POSSESS GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
Who knows you might do better in future but nothing worse than this will happen to you.

If you expecting average marks than why you thinking of engineering and specially from average college through that you would not justified with your career.

Don't take engineering into very easy game. Every year in lakhs engineering will come into job market but only 40% were placed you know why lack of technical knowledge,skills , Communication skills and specially from average college you would not get right inputs from faculties and good companies will having academic perimeters for recruitment.

So do check your decision twice and choose the right career in respect of every points.
