I am appearing for improvement this year for boards . So the question is for Exams like VITEE nd JEE am i appearing student or passes out???

as you are appearing for improvement exam,now you are not considered as passed out student,once you done with your improvement exam then you will be considered as passed out student.

As you have not cleared your boards, you won't be counted as passed out candidate.. once you clears your improvement exams- then only you will be considered 'passed out'.!
If you clear your your board then you will be counted as passed out.
