I am bangari Srusti completed ph.d in 2010 through distance education please sir guide me how do apply to get my genuine certificate
If you completed your PhD through distance education in 2010 and never collected the original degree certificate, you can still get it from your university. Since many years have passed, you will probably need to apply for the degree certificate or a convocation certificate. Here is the process you can follow:
1. Contact the University
First, contact the Registrar or Controller of Examinations of the university that awarded your PhD. For distance education students, the work is usually handled by the Distance Education / DDE department. They will tell you the exact procedure and fee.
2. Fill the Application Form
Go to the university website and download the form called: “Degree Certificate Application” or “Convocation Form”. You will need to submit:
Copy of provisional certificate
Copies of mark sheets (course work or related records)
PhD notification / thesis approval letter
ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID)
Passport size photos
3. Pay the Required Fees
Because your degree is old (2010), the university may charge Late fee, and Record search fee
4. Apply for Genuineness Certificate (If Required)
If a job or institution asks proof that your PhD is genuine, you must apply separately for a Genuineness Verification Certificate. The university will verify your records and send a sealed confirmation.
5. Check DigiLocker / NAD
Some universities uploads old degrees to DigiLocker or the National Academic Depository (NAD). You can try searching using your registration number and passing year.
