i am currently in class 11 i will be giving my 12th boards in feb 2027 so when will i be eligible to take clat examination as the clats are usually held in December would i be able to take them in dec 2026 or in dec 2027 ?

Since you will be giving your Class 12 board exams in February 2027, you will not be eligible for the CLAT held in December 2026. CLAT requires candidates to either have passed or be appearing in the Class 12 examination in the same academic year of admission.

The CLAT is conducted in December every year. All students writing their Class 12 exams in the following year (2027, in your case) are allowed to apply if they fulfill eligibility criteria at the time of admission.

So yes, you can absolutely give the CLAT 2026, and if you clear it, you will ultimately be admitted to law school in 2027 after writing your board exams.
