Hello,
A Pathologist is a highly specialized MD or DO physician whose primary area of expertise is in the study of body tissues and body fluids.
- You must have completed the M.B.B.S. in order to be eligible for admission to an M.D. program in pathology.
- The course takes 3 years to complete. Students who have completed a recognised two-year post graduate diploma program in pathology can complete the course in 2 years.
- So you cannot do pathology unless you have MBBS.
M.D. Pathology Colleges
- All India Institute of Medical Sciences - AIIMS Delhi, New Delhi
- Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology - Kattankulathur, Kanchipuram
Hope this helps!!!
