Let us Understand the concept of UPGRADATION by a following example:
Suppose you filled 5 choices of colleges in the NEET COUNSELLING ROUND - 1.
Suppose you are alloted a college of 4th Preference.
So, in Second round if seats are available then you will be alloted a seat of Higher Preference given by you.
If not possible then your earlier seat will be retained.
And if you are alloted a higher preference seat then this case is called SEAT UPGRADATION. When you get an upgraded seat in 2nd round of counselling, your previous seat is automatically vacated and is allotted to another candidate as per merit by software of MCC. Then, during reporting time of 2nd round of counselling, you are supposed to withdraw documents from the college allotted in 1st round, where your admission fees will also be refunded and to submit the documents and fees in the upgraded college.
The time provided for reporting to a medical college is sufficient to do all the above steps. You wont be needed to carry any extra special document
