i am getting 720(M.E.) gate score and i belong to gen category. i want a THERMAL engineering branch, can i get it? Plsss help me

There is a chance to get any old iit like Kanpur,Bombay,Guwahati or rorkee

But there is 730 gate score is cutoff of iit guwahati in 2017 for Thermal on the website of engineering360, and i am from ews. So can i get it.?
