According to previous year cutoff you have chances to get lower branches at average and lower Nits but only if you have home state quota. But you don't have any chance to get Top NITs whether you have home state quota or not.
If you are from Punjab than you can easily get good branch at Thapar, UIET Chandigarh. You will also get Chemical at NIT Jalandhar if you have home state quota. But the cutoff vary every year. It may increase or decrease. So you should wait for jee main rank and than check the cutoff of various colleges.
