To have a career in B.Tech first you have to clear your 12th with atleast 60% in PCM, thats the minimum you have to keep while the higher the better rules still goes on, after that you have to fill out forms of different colleges and apply to those or simply just fill out JEE mains form and give its exams. Its best if you give multiple exams of different universities along with JEE so that you can have a better scope of pursuing engineering, once you have cleared exams and have a score card you can decide which college to get in to depending upon its ranking, quality of education and also its placement scenario.

In order to pursue BTech in India IITs, NITs and IIITs are top institutions in India. Apart from them BITS, VIT, SRM are very good private institutes.

As you're in 12th now you need to study the complete syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of class 11th and 12th. You can start with NCERT to build up your basics and gradually improve to tougher books. You'll have to fill up the forms of JEE Main and any state level entrance exam tp BTech course. You can also fill the forms for BITSAT, VITEEE, whose exams will be conducted next year.
