I am seeking admission in Bvsc. What should i do, i am an average student, what to prepare for entrance?
Hey Santi
For admission to B.V.Sc. courses, you would need to appear for AIPVT exam for admission to 15% of total seats, and in individual state exams for admission on remaining seats, like Gujarat conducts GUJCET. However, note that last year AIPVT was not conducted and admission to 15% of seats were done through NEET instead. No official information with this regards has yet come for this year.
Coming to your question, the structure of all state level entrance exams is almost similar to AIPVT. AIPVT exam consists of 180 questions in total which have to be done in 180 minutes. 50% of the questions come from Biology and remaining 50% from Chemistry and Physics. There is no one strategy which works. Figure out what works for you. Besides that, I suggest you may follow below given measures to refine yourself for veterinary entrance exams:
- Along with other referal materials, get well versed with the NCERT Class 11th and 12th syllabus, since it is the prescribed syllabus.
- Ttry figuring your weak and strong areas given that there is negative marking in AIPVT and most other exams.
- MOST IMPORTANT- Practice previous year papers and other sample papers. DONT leave it for the last. Keep solving mock tests and sample papers alongside your preparation. It will help you refine your strategy and give you reality check.
- Lastly, dont loose the confidence and keep yourself healthy and strong.
I hope it will help. Wish you all the best.
