As it is the national level entrance exam for mbbs the government has reserved some seats in medical colleges of various states.

The following are the catergory under which student is eligible for central pool quota seats:

Students belonging to States/

Union Territories with no Medical/Dental College

Health Secretary, State/Union Territory Government

2. Wards of Defence Personnel

Liaison Officer,

If the seats remains unfilled then remaining seats are transferred to state quota.
