Yes, you can get admission in the college you want. There are two types of examinations after the polytechnic course. One is lateral entry examination and another is the engineering entrance examination. If you enter into the college by lateral entry examination which is a state level exam, you will directly go for B.tech 2nd year based on your rank and counselling. If to get entry into college by engineering entrance examination then you should write and qualify the JEE and get a good rank to appear for the counselling. If you work hard you may get admission into NIT or IIT's.
