I am study a chapter clearly. but when I giving exam from the chapter I trap in sili mistakes(but I read the question slowly)and my numbers coming very low.how can I avoid this ?
Hi,
Hope you are doing good.
The main thing is when you study a chapter you have to make sure that you understand the concept really well. You have said that you study a topic clearly but see how much you have actually understood I suggest that you make notes of the topic in your own words, as this helps you to realise whether you have understood the topic properly and it also helps to have notes written down specially when you revise. Also go through previous year question papers and practice the questions from that chapter.
Try to discuss the topics with your friends and study, asking eachother questions about the topic. This will help you recollect what you have studied and also help you to understand if there are any subtopic that you haven't understood well.
And always clarify your doubts with your teachers if you fail to find the answer after going through textbooks.
Another important thing is to remain calm while giving an exam. We all do make mistakes especially when we are giving the exams. The only way to overcome this by remaining calm. When you get your question paper, go through all the questions and identify which questions you are comfortable with and make a point to answer those first. Calculate in your mind how much time you would be spending on each question; make sure to leave some extra time for rechecking your answers. When you answer each question, don't panic and read carefully. Read the question twice. Identify ti which potion of the chapter does the question come from, recollect the points related to the question and frame an outline of the answer in your mind and then write.
I am sure if you follow these steps you will see a huge difference.
Hope you found this answer useful.
Good luck
Hi Souvik Mondal,
When you study a chapter, make sure that you understand what you are studying. During exam, it is not always that a direct question will come. Sometimes , the teachers set tricky questions in order to test if a student has understood the chapters or not. Therefore, I would suggest you to not byheart any chapter, but instead understand the concepts.
Also, try solving previous years question papers for a better idea on what type of questions can be asked and how can you answer it. Keep practicing.
