I am studying BE ECE first year at Sri Krishna college of engineering and technology , Coimbatore and I have heard that students get placed in different companies at Chennai , Bangalore and Coimbatore . Is there any opportunity to get placed at Mumbai ?

Look, placements are all the random things that happen while getting placed. So the probability of getting a job in Mumbai is like flipping a coin which have Chances of getting placed but there will be no assurity. Once you get placed in certain company in a particular state, you can take a transfer if such company has a branch in the state you want. So, going for the placements without any hesitation and then thinking about Futher things wil be a great decision

The placements are conducted in the Campus. The recruiters come and fill for the positions that they have vacancies in. If they have vacancy in Bangalore, they will fill it for Bangalore. Usually while filling the application form, you are asked for preferences. So at that time you can say Mumbai as your location. The position you are applying for should be available in the location you want. And transfers after 1st year are difficult. You should contact the college you want to join and check if they have any seat available. And then you should talk to your management to let you leave your current college. If yours is a free seat then there is no problem but if it is a management seat they will ask you to pay the entire course fee. But if you are sure that you want a transfer you should check with both the colleges.
