See for getting into the top IIT first you have to crack the the Jee Advanced with a good AIR based upon that only you can be Abel to take the admission. Since you are in Class 11th for that just you have to make the proper stratigic plan and based upon that decide in whichever subject you have to focus more on certain topics which the JEE usually picks up.

As you are in first year focus on Understanding the things rather than just reading and vomiting in the exams. Because Basic knowledge is very important and thereby the Difficult questions are arised from. So keep the Basics strong. To enter into the IIT, You need to give JEE mains and after Qualifying in that you must clear JEE Advanced . The JEE exam is Not that easy. You should be very strong in Maths, Physics and chemistry.
