I am studying in 2puc(12th) I have taken pcmc I am a average student what course should I take after 12
Dear Srujana,
Thanks for reaching out to this platform. Your question comes from your desire to study well and succeed in academic pursuits, and more importantly, in life. So as a first step, forget your perception that you are an average student. The marks that your friends may score better than you doesn't make you inferior to them. There may be others who score less than you. So where does that place you? Be positive. Take it as a challenge and let's go forward.
A large number of students opt for Engineering, if you feel that you are not up to it, let's look at other options. Since you are doing PCM, you can think of a BSc programme after 12th. You can pursue BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Statistics, Bio-Chemistry etc. You can also opt for 4-year integrated courses where you get a regular degree on successful completion of 3 years of study and MSc degree afer 4 years.
Now that's all about science. Let's take Humanities too. You can definitley go for a BA (Honours) or BA (Pass) in English Language and Literature as English is a core subject in 10+2. Since you have studied Maths, you can also go for Commerce, as usually the Maths associated with Commerce has got more to do with arithmetics rather than algebra or trignometry. If you are artistically inclined, you a go for Fine Arts courses like Bachelor of Fine Arts.
You have so many options. Don't get confused. Discuss this with your close friends, teachers or parents. Don't blindly follow any advice, but think through their advice and take an independent decision. Just concentrate on your studies now and you will see your confidence picking up. If you study with a positve state of mind, you will definitley do well in the exams, which again boosts your confidence and help you banish the thought that you are an average student. Study well. Best of luck!!!
