I am studying political science honours ,can I after graduating appear for LSAT India , and join rajiv Gandhi school of intellectual propert
Dear Sayan,
You may not be able to join Rajiv Gandhi School of Inellectual Property Law at IIT Kharagpur for its 3-year LLB programme as you don't have the required qualification (log on to http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/law).
If you want to specialise in Intellectual property you can do a 3-year LLB after your graduation and then go for an LLM with specialisation in Intellectural Property Law. Symbiosis Law School, Pune offers LLM with specialisation in 'Innovation, Technology and Intellectual Property Law'. Similarly University College of Law, Osmania University offers LLM with specialisation in 'Intellectual Property Law'. There could be other law colleges as well that offer 'Intellectual Property Law' as a specialisation in LLM.
If you are in the first year of BA Political Science (Hons.) it would be a good idea to go for a 5-year integrated LLB next year through CLAT or LSAT and then go for LLM . Best of luck!
Hi Sayan,
Yes, you can appear for LSAT India after completing your graduation in Political Science (H) and join Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property. The application forms of LSAT India will release in the first week of October and the offline exam is held in the month of May.
All the best!
