I appeared for IELTS on Oct 13, 2018, however my result kept on hold due to quality purpose, need to understand why this happened only to me

Well this does not happen very often. Sometimes due to some glitch in the software, the results might get displaced or some other issue might occur. But you don't have to worry about it cause they will get back to your result as soon as they can. Just calm and let them do what they can.

Thanks for approaching us. Sorry to know that you did not receive your IELTS scores until date! Would like to inform you that there are three particular reasons to withheld the exam scores. Those are -

1> To check the quality of the exam, precisely, they would re-check the paper.

2> IELTS conducting body might cancel the result if they find any problems with the test paper

3> For any discrepancy pertaining to the information provided by candidates, officials would cancel the test.

Now, in your case, the delay is because of the first reason. Due to quality check. Let me explain. IELTS test undergo re-checking of the test if they have a difference of two or more bands in each module. Suppose, you have scored 7 Band in IELTS Listening and 4.5 Band in IELTS Writing Test. Your test will be re-assessed by another examiner for quality check. Thus, if you are so good at Listening, you are not supposed to be too low in Writing. Else, you may be asked to re-appear for a component or two.
