I appeared in 12th boards in 2025, got comp result because of chemistry. I chose to reappear in all subjects in 2026 boards as a fresher. Now iit r has released the criteria of jee advanced 2026, it confuses me as it says that students appearance in boards counts. No matter they pass or not. So I only have 2026 as jee advanced first and last attempt. Is it what it says or I am wrong here?
Hello Radhika
JEE Advanced counts the year when you first appeared in Class 12 boards.
It does not matter whether you passed or got a compartment.
You first appeared in boards in 2025, so that year is counted.
JEE Advanced allows only two consecutive years after the first appearance.
So your allowed years are 2025 and 2026.
Giving boards again in 2026 will not reset your attempts.
This means 2026 will be your last chance for JEE Advanced.
So you should prepare seriously and use this final attempt wisely.
