    I regret to inform you that once you have appeared for JEE main as a General candidate then you cannot change it to OBC category although vive versa is allowed.

    So even for JAC Delhi counselling now you have to appear as a General candisate otherwise if there is any discrepancy in both the details, you application will be cancelled.

    You can call the helpline of JAC to confirm this with them as well!

    Many obc categories in a particular state are not listed in central list, so, people who are not listed in central list as obc have to appear as general but in state list, if a person is from obc then he can apply. That is why Jac ask separately about category and asks for Obc certificate.
