I belong to the OEC category. Which option should I select for the NEET application
Hello Candidate.
OCE is known as "Other eligible communities". If your OCE is OBC-NCL, you can choose the option for other backward classes with proper verified documents. if not, then choose the general category.
Thank You. Hope this information helps you to apply properly.
Hello,
For NEET, since OEC is a state-specific category (like Kerala) and not in the national list, you should check if your community falls under the OBC Central List, then select OBC-NCL; if not OBC, select General, and get the necessary state-specific income/community certificates for fee waivers/state quota benefits during counselling. Here in this article you will find more about the NEET application.
I hope it will clear your query!!
NEET's category list does not include "OEC", u must select one of the official categories (SC / ST / OBC - NCL / General / EWS / PwBD) - whichever matches ur central list status, not ur state's OEC classification.. people under OEC in state dont get central reservation benefits, so your NEET category becomes General / UR unless you belong to SC/ST/OBC under central lists..
Hello,
OEC category belongs to the Kerala-specific subcategory under Kerala state reservations alongside OBC-NCL, EWS and PWD.
These are not separately listed under the National NEET Agency. Therefore, you must apply under the General (UR) category if the OEC category is not available at the moment. In this circumstance, some OEC Categories are qualified as OEC-ST or OEC-SC based on the Kerala OEC list.
Ensure that you have the OEC community certificate for the state quota verification. This will help during state counselling, not for the NEET application.
Hope it helps. Good luck.
