Anything around 5000 rank in Jee Advanced is considered safer to get into IIT. You may also get a seat with around 6k rank but then the chances would be 50-50 and also you may get some lower branch. It is better to keep around 5k.

JEE advanced is the most toughest exam for engineering in India and the cutoff for top IITs is relatively higher than the new formed IITs.
To get admission in IITs, you need a cell rank of less than 8k and hence an OBC rank below 2k.
