I did B.E in chemical and working from past 3 yrs in the same field. But, offlately my interest has shifted to psychology. I am very interested in doing B.A in psychology. Is it anyhow possible now as I had passed 12th in 2013?if possible, what are the options where i can apply with this background
For pursuing bachelor's degree in any discipline there is no upper age limit for any candidate. You can pursue Bachelor's degree in Psychology after eight years gap between studies. i pursued my Masters in Psychology after a gap of almost 4 years because a news paper advertisement caught my eye. Later, I completed Sports Psychology after a gap of 1 year. You should keep with yourself the Gap certificate stating the reason for the gap or what you did in these years. You should fulfill the minimum criteria, i. e. 10+2 with aggregate 60% . There will also be some percentage cut due to the gap but you will probably get admission in good colleges if you clear the entrance exam.
Few top Universities for Bachelor of Arts in Psychology:
- Delhi University.
- Banaras Hindu University.
- Dr BR Ambedkar University.
- Indira Gandhi National Open University.
- University of Allahabad.
Also there are many private Universities you can look for to apply for the course. And if you want to continue working and then take up BA in Psychology, you may do so by taking Evening classes or Part time Admissions. IGNOU is one of the best for that.
