Jump into theater in highschool . the trail to acting careers can actually begin in highschool plays and

There are several reasons for casting unknown actors.

One is money. Unknowns are less expensive than established stars, and if you simply have a limited

budget

Another is size of role. Films and television series have tons of small speaking parts in them that require

casting. Not all of them are suitable for star cameos, and while there are established character actors,

sometimes an unknown just looks the part.

Getting into the more artistic reasons, some roles demand a really specific look. an honest example

would be when a personality appears in old and younger versions and you would like an actor who may

be a credible older/younger version of 1 already cast. Another example would be a literary adaptation

that demands a really specific physical type.

Sometimes there's also an issue of luggage . The director wants someone who doesn't bring back the

role any audience preconceptions from previous roles.

And finally, sometimes a task is tough to fill and an unknown just happens to hit the mark.

the proper person it launches their career. It's nice to be referred to as the director who first cast an

enormous star.

Every actor was unknown once. If we never cast an unknown, cinema would have died an extended time
