OK, so you've done 10th in 2015, and there was gap years, but why will you be doing polytechnic in 2021?

And moreover, admission to diploma in engineering happens through state level polytechnic entrance exam and the upper age limit is 21(however, you also need to check with the official website of your state, because in some there isn't any mention of upper limit and you have not mentioned your state, so I can't help either)

SSC JE recruitment takes place in the department of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and it gets filled in CWC, CPWD, MES, NTRO,BRO etc. In all these, the age criteria varies, it's not consistent. For some it's 27, another 30 and the remaining 32 years.

This exam is entirely based on clearing Paper I and Paper II, there is document verification and then medical and physical test only in case of BRO.

So, the preparation and qualifying part rests only in your hands(provided, you pass your diploma and sit in the exam), since there is no interview to question you about gap years.
