Follow these steps. During self preparation you need to be quick in deciding your options or sources to study or else you will end up in wasting time . Analyse the last year question papers and evaluate yourself. How much you know and how much need to work on yourself. Decide the subjects in which you are strong and in which you are weak. Work on them. Work on every detail you can find. Make your own notes and cram the formulaes. Make short notes for quick revision. Read standard books , don't follow any university book. Read standard books. Revise again and again. To start any subject and to complete it , rule is very simple. One topic at a time. Don't jump the topics start from the chapter one. Complete the theory first , this can be done from any book or made easy notes. Decide on your own. But there is no replacement for those notes. When you are done with theory portion , now solve some simple numerical from any book. Start with simple ones and then raise the level. When you are confident , attempt the previous year questions and if you are able to solve 70 percent of the questions then you are on right track. If you can't. Don't get discouraged , try one more time. Hope this helps!!!
