I don't have domicile certificate of any state. Can I take admission in a private medical college in UP?
Yes, potentially. Not having a domicile certificate does not automatically prevent you from studying MBBS in a private medical college in Uttar Pradesh.
But you need to distinguish between:
- Private college seats under the applicable private/management quota
- State quota seats
Domicile/residence requirements can apply differently to state-quota seats, whereas private/management/NRI seats have different eligibility rules.
You must still:
- Qualify NEET-UG
- Meet NMC eligibility requirements
- Register for the appropriate UP counselling
- Meet the particular quota's eligibility requirements
- Produce the required documents
NEET 2026 is the common national entrance examination for undergraduate medical admissions.
