Hyy adrash,
You'll have to take your character certificate from school and keep it with you and if your character certificate is lost, you can get that again from school or your boards regional office

I read somewhere that ggsipu asks for character certificate not older than 6 months but I cleared +2 last year.. Now what?..

You can issue your new character certificate anytime from school and it would be accepted everywhere So new character certificate from the date of new issue would be counted
