I filled my category wrong in aiims registration form and finished the payment.Now I couldnt change the data.Can I change it on March20

Unfortunately, as stated in the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Prospectus, candidates will not be able to change the following information once they complete payment and submit the form:

• Candidate’s Name

• Date of Birth (DOB)

• Category

• OPH Status

• E-mail Id

• Mobile Number

AIIMS has specifically stated that candidates should carefully choose the category while filling the form as the CATEGORY CANNOT BE CHANGED once the online payment of fees is done. The AIIMS Status of Registration window that will open on March 20 is only expected to allow candidates to make changes in their uploaded documents and qualifying details.

However I will urge you not to lose hope. NEET allows candidates to make changes to their category in the correction window so you never know if AIIMS might also receive many requests for the same and allow candidates to change other details. Also, AIIMS specifies that candidates are not allowed to change their exam centre also but it had allowed candidates to do so last year in the correction window. So do check the status of your registration on March 20 and if by chance the option to edit ‘category’ is made available, then go for it.
