i gave boards this year 12th cbse I got 71 percent can I give improvement next year in only two subjects and be eligible for josaa counselling and considering I am fulfilling other criteria like jee adv and mains

Yes. CBSE allows a student to appear for Improvement Examinations as a private candidate in the succeeding year .

For JoSAA eligibility , what matters is meeting the Class 12 performance criterion applicable for that admission year. If your improvement marks increase your aggregate and you satisfy the required eligibility conditions, you can become eligible for JoSAA counselling.

However, be careful with one point:

• The 75% marks criterion (65% for SC/ST candidates) has not been applicable in every admission year. Eligibility rules can change, so you should always check the JoSAA/ JEE Advanced eligibility criteria for the specific year in which you plan to seek admission.

In general:

• You can improve one, several, or all subjects (subject to CBSE rules for that year).
• The improved marks will be considered according to CBSE's improvement exam regulations.
