i get 118 in jee mains can i get any nit

With this score, your JEE Main rank will be somewhere around 52000. With this rank, we can say that you may get admission into an NIT. But, you haven't provided any details about your category, your desired course etc. Without those details, it'll be difficult to say a correct answer. And also, NITs have HS quota for home state students. So, that also affects your chance of getting a seat. So, I'll leave a link to check last year's closing rank details here. getting NITs with this rank chances are quite high but out of my knowledge you will not get top NITs and core branches but you can get other branches while other hand if you have any category surely you can get

If you are Gen cat I am afraid you won't get in NIT be it your Home state one, but if you belong to reserved cat you can expect at least in your Home state NIT if not in other ones. B ut while counselling fill up the choices of colleges and branch very carefully , I know many students don’t know this actually , wisely filling the choices really helps a lot.
