I get 79.58 percentile in jee main January I belongs to general ews category .can I eligible for jee advanced exam, I get nit or a govt engineering college in this percentile . which college I get this percentile ?

It is difficult to tell exact qualifying marks but still you can check your score by the formula,

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 112679 are the number of candidates appeared for January exam.

So rank formula is (100 - your total score) x 112679/100.

Hope you may get qualified for jee advanced. Last year the cutoff percentile for general Ews category was more than 79. So, if cutoff for this time remains under it than you can pass.

But, for this percentile even if you pass you won't be able to get any of central govt colleges like NITs or IIITs or CFTIs. You may get state government colleges of your state with lower branch, if they accept jee mains score.

So, better is to improve your score in next session.  All the best
