It would be better if your Home state NIT is an average one like NIT Patna, NIT Raipur, etc.
The home state cutoff for average NITs stay low and you may get a good branch.
For rest other state NITs you may have to struggle a bit for the branch but still you will get average to low ranked NITs.
While talking about GFTIs except IIEST Shibpur, you will easily get any branch in them as the cutoff stay low. But an NIT is still an NIT.

Less chance if you are from general Category,if you are obc/sc/st onthis marks .it will hard to predict rank in jee mains 2019 but say it about under 35,000-50,000.
