170 marks in Jee Main paper 1 means you can expect a percentile in the range of 99.2 to 99.4 which means your expected rank would be around 5000 to 7000. But this is your expected rank as the actual rank depends on various deciding factors such as your category, number of students appeared in the exam, highest score obtained etc. You haven't mentioned your category so we have considered you as a general category candidate. With this rank, you can surely get into NITs but getting CSE in top NITs might be difficult as the CSE seats of those NITs lie around 3000 rank. However, you can get other branches such as Civil, electrical in top NITs such as Warangal, Surathkal, Nagpur, Rourkela, Trichy etc. However you haven't mentioned your home state quota. You can expect CSE in NITs such as Jalandhar, Raipur, Patna, Silchar, Uttarakhand etc. However this is based on previous years' data and this year it might change.
