Hi Heeramani, as per my knowledge with a preparatory rank of 3255 even being a female will not end you up with a good IIT or branch. I suggest you try for NITs if your JEE mains marks are good or prepare again and go for it next year. There are other good private colleges too, if you had appeared for their entrance exam do apply there as well. Best of luck
