With 42 thousand OBC rank sorry to say that you cannot get a seat in NITs or IIITs
Though you should try private institutions or state universities or top colleges as the competition is cutthroat it is difficult for you to get gfti too. Be motivated. All the best
With this rank in JEE main and also being from OBC reservation category, you might get some seats in some lower branches in some newer NITs, newer IIITs and GFTIs. All the seats get exhausted at around 50 k. So you have pretty good chances.
