I got 45.401 ( despite scoring 236, how's this possible) and my 12th percentage is 93%.

Percentile are the representation of the relative score. Percentile signifies the number of test takers from which you have scored well. So the percentile of 45 shows that out of the test takers, 45% have scored less marks than yourself.
