HI NISHKARSH,
As per your rank(ie 48k) and you general category quota you are not elligible for any of the streams in the NITs except for the BIOTECHNOLOGY and MINING stream in some of the low end NITs like NIT AGARTALA,NIT SILCHAR etc etc.
Now regarding the other State govt. colleges of different states,you can get a decent stream in those colleges if you apply with the secured rank to those colleges.
Specially you should try for the WEST BENGAL based govt. colleges like IEM, KALYANI GOVT. etc etc.
